White Cheddar & Spinach Chicken Burgers

Ingredients
  

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup green onions, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 egg

4 whole wheat burger buns

Lettuce, tomato, and avocado for garnishing

Olive oil for cooking

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, green onions, minced garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

    Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, ensuring they are uniform in thickness for even cooking.

      Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Once the oil is hot, place the chicken patties into the skillet.

        Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

          While cooking, you can toast the burger buns in another pan or in an oven until golden and crispy.

            Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked chicken patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with lettuce, slices of tomato, and avocado. Add the top bun.

              Serve the White Cheddar & Spinach Chicken Burgers warm with your favorite fries or salad on the side.
