Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated croissant dough

1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup pepperoni slices

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: Unroll the croissant dough on a clean surface and separate each triangle along the perforated lines.

Add Fillings: Place about 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese and 2-3 pepperoni slices at the widest end of each croissant triangle. Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning on top for added flavor.

Roll Up: Starting from the wide end, roll the croissant triangle tightly towards the point, enclosing the cheese and pepperoni. Ensure the tip is tucked underneath to prevent it from unrolling during baking.

Brush with Olive Oil: Place the rolled croissants on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil, then gently coat with the beaten egg to achieve a golden brown finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy. Keep an eye on them to prevent over-baking.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
