Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

Fresh basil, for garnish

Extra Parmesan cheese, for sprinkling

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Prepare the Chicken: While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the cherry tomatoes and red pepper flakes, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes until the tomatoes begin to soften.

Add Cream and Cheese: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, basil, and oregano. Let the sauce simmer for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Combine with Pasta: Slice the rested chicken into strips and return to the skillet. Add the cooked fettuccine and toss everything together. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.

Serve: Plate the Marry Me Chicken Pasta, garnishing with fresh basil and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
