Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian seasoned)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

Prep the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap. Pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch using a meat mallet. This ensures even cooking. Season with salt and pepper.

Set up the Breading Station: In three separate bowls, prepare your breading station:

      - In the first bowl, place the flour.

        - In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.

          - In the third bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Bread the Chicken: Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess. Then, dip it into the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the Parmesan breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Cook the Chicken: Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts in batches (do not overcrowd the pan). Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

Serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Enjoy: Serve your Parmesan crusted chicken with a side of your favorite pasta, a fresh salad, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
