Ingredients

12 slider buns (soft and slightly sweet)

1 lb thinly sliced deli meats (salami, pepperoni, ham)

8 oz provolone cheese, sliced

1/2 cup banana peppers or pepperoncini, sliced (adjust to taste)

1/4 cup roasted red peppers, sliced

1/2 cup Italian dressing

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup pesto sauce

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Prep the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and pesto. Mix well and set aside.

Assemble the Sliders: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the slider buns in half horizontally. On the bottom half of each bun, spread a generous amount of the pesto mayonnaise.

Layer the Fillings: On top of the mayonnaise, layer the sliced meats, followed by the provolone cheese, banana peppers, and roasted red peppers. Drizzle Italian dressing over the top layer of fillings.

Close the Sliders: Place the top halves of the slider buns onto your assembled sandwiches.

Prepare for Baking: In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Brush this mixture over the tops of the assembled sliders for extra flavor and color.

Bake: Place the assembled sliders in a lightly greased baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Remove from the oven, let them cool for a few minutes, and then cut them into individual sliders. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and serve warm!
