12 ounces penne pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.

    Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
