Ingredients
  

400g rotini pasta

2 boneless chicken breasts, diced

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta:

    In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water.

      Sauté Chicken:

        In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the diced chicken breast, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until golden brown and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes). Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

          Prepare the Sauce:

            In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

              Add Cheese & Seasoning:

                Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Continue to stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.

                  Combine:

                    Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, then add the cooked rotini. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

                      Finish & Serve:
