Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 cups broccoli florets

1 cup bell pepper, sliced (any color)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch fresh ginger, minced

1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

2 tbsp oyster sauce

2 tbsp cornstarch

1 tbsp rice vinegar

2 tbsp vegetable oil (for stir-frying)

1 tbsp sesame oil (for flavor)

1 tsp sugar

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked jasmine rice, to serve

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the flank steak, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and cornstarch. Toss until the meat is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. Set aside.

Blanch the Broccoli: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 1-2 minutes until bright green and just tender. Drain and immediately transfer to ice water to stop the cooking. Drain again and set aside.

Stir-fry the Beef: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté the minced garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the blanched broccoli and sliced bell peppers, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.

Combine Everything: Return the beef to the skillet, pouring the prepared sauce over the mixture. Stir well to coat all the ingredients evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.

Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over jasmine rice, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
