Ingredients

1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

4 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon sugar

1/4 cup beef broth

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Steamed rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, and sugar. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the oyster sauce, beef broth, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

Cook the Broccoli: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Remove the broccoli from the pan and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Beef: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Make sure to not overcrowd the pan; you may need to do this in batches.

Add Aromatics: Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the beef in the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.

Combine Everything: Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and lower the heat. Add the cooked broccoli back into the skillet and toss everything together, coating the beef and broccoli in the sauce. Drizzle with sesame oil for extra flavor.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
