Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece ginger, grated

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup snap peas

3 green onions, chopped

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Cooked jasmine rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the beef evenly and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Heat a large wok or a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes until browned, then remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the sliced red bell pepper and snap peas to the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Return the seared beef to the pan and mix well. Drizzle sesame oil over the mixture and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Stir everything together until well combined and heated through, about 1-2 minutes.

Serve hot over cooked jasmine rice or noodles, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
